Good intentions, flawed execution

The food was AMAZING! ! Staff were knowledgeable about allergens and incredibly helpful, extending their support in dining settings.

Slow Wi-Fi was frustrating, especially for business needs, and the unique room layouts proved to be quite awkward.

The spacious room had a huge window with an amazing view, and the breakfast spread was impressive, offering everything we could want. I loved relaxing in the sauna and the sun terrace after a long day of exploring. The only small hiccup was the bathroom could use a little more cleanliness, but it didn’t take away from our overall great experience. 😊

wonderful stay but minor noise issue

The corner room provided stunning views and ample natural light. It was impressively clean with a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was exceptional with a variety of delicious options that stood out. The city view added to the overall charm making my experience memorable.

I was impressed with the elegant decor and spacious common areas, which were very accessible for seniors. The large windows in public spaces provided lovely views of Nijmegen, making the environment feel bright and welcoming.

More seating options in the common areas would help.

Stunning views and spacious rooms

I loved staying in a corner room with floor-to-ceiling windows that offered breathtaking views of Nijmegen. The breakfast had a fantastic variety, including freshly squeezed orange juice, which was a lovely touch. The room was spacious and well-equipped, making for a very comfortable stay. However, the restaurant prices felt a bit high for the area, though the food quality was excellent.

The parking facility is conveniently located next to the hotel, making arrivals easy. The breakfast features real orange juice from freshly squeezed oranges, a standout from the usual buffet fare.

Housekeeping could use some work. the napkin box in our room was empty during our entire stay, and the small table by the bed had sticky residues that were never addressed. The wellness zone could use a cleaning boost as well. the corridors near the elevators smelled unpleasant. Additionally, there were insufficient towels and cups available in the women's locker room, and I encountered a few breakfast items that tasted off, such as the fruit salad.

Comfy and stylish rooms made my stay enjoyable.

Unfortunately, my experience was marred by numerous cleanliness issues. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, and I found leftover food on the carpet, which made me question the hotel's housekeeping standards. Additionally, the restaurant service was lacking, with staff appearing disorganized during meals.

our room at van der valk hotel was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. we enjoyed the excellent food in the restaurant, and the wine waiter was charming. parking was super easy since they checked our number plate beforehand.

The views from my room were amazing, illuminating the city skyline and the river, especially at night when everything sparkled. I loved the Nespresso machine that let me sip great coffee while enjoying that view! Plus, the breakfast buffet was a feast, featuring fresh juices and live cooking that made me want to linger longer.

The small gym could definitely benefit from more equipment!!! Odd layouts like the washbasin behind the bed are just impractical for a four-star hotel!!! Additionally, noisy dining experiences detracted from relaxation!!!
